Congratulations to Johann Maître, David Marty, Tobias Büttiker and Josua Bieler on successfully completing their training. They passed the federal examination for fire protection specialists VKF / AEAI with flying colors.
The functions of the fire protection specialist VKF (Association of Cantonal Fire Insurers) are of far-reaching importance, as they are able to define effective fire protection measures for a wide variety of buildings. Residential, office and school buildings, industrial and commercial buildings, accommodation facilities and retail outlets can be built up to a total height of 30 m in timber construction. Under specific conditions, the use of load-bearing and fire compartment-forming components with timber components is also possible for high-rise buildings.
Trained and certified fire protection specialists are able to advise, plan, execute, monitor and implement preventive fire protection measures for the safety of all.
Since January 1, 2015, the Swiss Fire Protection Regulations (BSV) 2015 of the Association of Cantonal Fire Insurers (VKF) have allowed the construction of timber structures in all building categories and uses. The definition of fire resistance treats constructions with combustible components in the same way as non-combustible components.
Up to QSS2 level, graduates accompany construction projects as QS managers for fire protection and make a significant contribution to the safety and protection of people and property.
We are proud to have such outstanding and qualified specialists with their extensive fire protection expertise in our ranks.
Congratulations again, Johann, David, Tobias and Joshua on your newly acquired qualifications! We look forward to using your acquired expertise in construction projects of all kinds and are sure that you will make significant contributions to fire protection and safety in construction projects.
