The project
The new hall covers an area of 46 x 23 meters and combines several functions under one roof: a showroom, an administrative area with modern offices, and a storage and preparation area for machines. This well-thought-out room layout enables TSUGAMI to efficiently map all business processes on one level. The wooden construction of the building not only ensures a particularly high load-bearing capacity and long service life, but also provides a remarkable aesthetic that has a positive effect on the indoor climate.

The construction method
Wood is omnipresent in this hall. Double-sloped glulam beams, which adapt to the roof slopes, rest on three rows of wooden posts. The floors in the office area and the roof are made of CLT laid on beams. The floor beams are supported by double joists. The interior and exterior walls are made of a wooden frame construction.

The challenge
Avoiding impacts was an important consideration in this project. The idea was to avoid adding any blocking elements or increasing the cross-sections of the posts too much. The construction system was therefore designed so that the rest of the structure could compensate for the loss of a post.
