The project
The Berghaus On the ground floor there is a restaurant with self-service market, kitchen, toilets and offices. Adjacent to the restaurant to the south, a sun terrace with outdoor bar was realized. The basement contains storage and technical rooms, toilets and the self-service restaurant. The restaurant has seating for 650 inside and 350 outside. The realization The object was realized as a pure timber construction over a base floor in reinforced concrete. The loads of the longitudinal main girders are transferred to the concrete foundations via the columns of the skeleton structure.
The construction method
Between the main girders, a beam layer was used as a secondary supporting structure. The façade was set off from the columns in timber frame construction by means of steel brackets. All supports, connections and assembly joints from the primary structure were solved and executed using GSA technology. The bracing in the basement is provided by a tension rod system. The first floor is braced by steel tube strut frames. For wind and earthquake bracing, the elevator shaft in reinforced concrete is also used.
